To meet the brief, Greenhill designed and developed an elegant multi-device experience which put high quality editorial content and photography first, and made wayfinding simple through interactive map-based navigation.

Design and Front-end Development

We provided art direction, UX design, and mobile-first responsive front-end development. One of the most challenging (but rewarding) elements of the front-end work was to create a custom SVG and javascript based map of the USA with complex location-based infrastructure and information overlays.

Application Development

In addition to design and front-end development, we also developed an enterprise-level web database application to provide the function to match the form. This involved creating training program and quiz functionality, a number of social platform integrations, and custom content management tools to allow the Brand USA team to create training programs and publish content about US destinations.

Usability Testing

As part of the project delivery we conducted usability testing sessions with travel agents to ensure that the final product would meet their needs.


Since launch, the website has won “Best Training Programme of the Year 2014” at the TTG (Travel Trade Gazette) awards.
